WELLNESS EXAMS

Every year of your pet's life is equivalent to 5-7 human years. Since they age faster, their diseases can progress relatively quicker too. We recommend regular check ups to evaluate your pet's health and recognise issues sooner!

MICROCHIPPING

In Queensland, all dogs and cats must be microchipped before they are 12 weeks old. Microchipping has many benefits, including facilitating the safe return of lost animals to their owners!

VACCINATIONS

Some pet diseases are very serious and can be fatal even with treatment. The best way to prevent your pet from contracting some of these diseases is through vaccination. The vaccines we recommend are highly effective and we only recommend those that are relevant to both your pet and the area that we live in.

SURGERY

Minor surgical procedures can be performed under sedation and local anaesthesia.

EMERGENCY CARE

Although we don't offer hospitalisation, we are always available to give advise to you and treatment to your pet, with referral if necessary.

DENTAL CARE

Does your pet have bad breath? This is often a sign of dental disease, which can become a major health problem. Call us to discuss treatment and preventative measures before it progresses further!

ABOUT

OUR CLINIC

Vet 2 You Whitsundays is a purely mobile vet service catering for pets and production animals alike. The service is operated by Dr Glen Botes who has worked as a vet in the area for several years now, after first moving to the area more than a decade ago.

Glen enjoyed the first few years of his vet career working alongside the friendly crew at the Proserpine Vet Surgery, before deciding to further his career alone. After travelling around the state, working as a locum, he and his young family returned home to the Whitsundays where they saw an opportunity to provide a unique service in the area; one that focuses exlusively on providing house calls for pets and livestock. This style of service is becoming increasingly popular in the vet industry as clients realise the convenience of having a vet come to your house, where their pets are most at ease.

Glen is passionate about his job, his clients and their animals and is commited to providing the best health care practises and advice available whilst maintaining affordability.
